Depending on your church tradition or when you first experienced a communion service, it can be a varied emotional event. If you came to it as a first time visitor it can seem rather odd and very different. The service itself can be very simple or seem to be very mysterious and over the top.
But imagine a great meal with friends and then at the end of it you take a moment to say thank you for your friendship and by taking a moment you stop to reflect on how important those around the table are to you. And the reason they are so important is because of one person, Jesus.
Today’s message helps us reflect on Jesus and why He is such an important gift to us, but to also value those with in the community of faith. Paul gives us some things to learn and how to enter into communion and not to treat it lightly but with the sincere respect it deserves…
